Compassionate Support in Chicago

At Helping Other People Excel CDC Housing Foundation, we’re more than just a nonprofit. We’re a community that cares deeply about supporting those in need. Based in Chicago, we offer a variety of services to help individuals and families facing hardship, including affordable housing, shelters for homeless and battered women, job training, food assistance, and emotional support through counseling. Our mission is simple: to provide people with the opportunity to build a better future, no matter where they’re starting from. We’re here to offer a hand up, not just a handout, helping individuals find hope and strength to move forward. If you or someone you know is in need, we’re just a call or an email away. Call (312) 597-8864 or reach out to us at [email protected].

A Commitment to Helping Others

The foundation was built on a deep commitment to uplifting those in need, grounded in the belief that true love for others is shown through a willingness to help. Everything the organization does revolves around ensuring each person is seen, supported, and valued. At the heart of the work is the understanding that caring for others means offering more than just material help; it’s about being there with a smile, an encouraging word and a helping hand. The goal is to offer not only physical support but also emotional encouragement, empowering individuals to rise above their challenges. This spirit of compassion ensures that everyone, no matter their struggles, has the opportunity to overcome hardships and create a better future.
